I know…I’ve been a terrible blogger since I got back. My apologies TJ’s, but when you’re life only consists of working two jobs, spending time with family over the holidays and training your new puppy, life gets ahead of you.

Anyways, HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! It’s 2017!
Another year. Another year of adventure. Another year to explore and discover, and I can’t wait to fly away again.

Paul and I try to go on at least one trip a year, and choosing the place is always the hardest. Especially considering there is still so much we want to see. I would LOVE to go back to Thailand (seriously left a piece of myself there and am DYING to go back), but when you really only have the ability to take a week off at a time, Thailand is out of the question. So where does one go? I suggested California or Florida to Disneyland or Disneyworld considering Paul has never been. But finding a place to stay and factoring in the cost to get in the parks, it was beginning to be an incredibly expensive trip.

We decided to wait until after the holidays to discuss and finalize a plan. Little did Paul know I already had a plan.

I managed to find a KILLER deal on flights, and I surprised Paul with tickets to…..

NEW YORK CITY

Paul LOOOOOVES New York and I have never been before. So, his Christmas, Birthday and Anniversary present were tickets to his favorite city. I think I should get some pretty killer girlfriend points for this one! 🙂 I also planned for us to go and be in NYC for my birthday!

I know we don’t get to gallivant around foreign cities for months, but, getting away for a week with my favorite person in his favorite city? Sounds just as amazing to me!
